Retail FAIL of the Month:
A National Shoe Store
For this month’s audit, our team decided to focus on the connection between online / in-app and the ability to bring people in-store. For this experiment, we decided to focus on women’s shoes.
The reasoning: Due to the variety of colors, models, brands, etc., our team would email and call stores to inquire about a particular shoe and test their online to in-store inventory connectivity. This test would give a good indication whether or not the inventory systems are well connected, and whether or not the system(s) are being leveraged to bring shoppers to brick-and-mortar locations.
